While most of our cactus are various shades of green, they appear GOLDEN depending on the time of day. The golden cactus gets it's golden color from the sun! The sun also casts a beautiful golden color onto all of the surrounding mountains as shown in many of our photographs. It is absolutely stunning.

Well, we've moved thousands of miles across country. We've had a journey of many struggles, and many blessings, and we put up this web site for a couple of reasons.

It allows our own family to reflect on the beauty that surrounds us when we are not here, and it allows us to share a bit of where we are and what we are doing with friends and family that we don't get to contact as often as we would like. After many years of working ourselves to the bone, and health challenges that have been significant, we have come to realize that working more for the sake of having more (most of which we don't need) is not the way we want to live. We've realized that we can work much less, and still have much more than we need or could ask for. Moving to an area of the country with incredible weather, and a vastly lower cost of living has opened our eyes to how much time we spent working to try to get ahead, when the answer was to live where our money went much much further. Being surrounded by the beauty of Creation that you see in the pictures we have taken and posted on this web site brings an indescribable sense of peace and joy to us. We look at this web site, and the images we see, and we think of where we moved from and where we are now and are overwhelmed with gratitude. You should see the nights here - I don't know if we have ever seen so many stars, it's incredible! We look around and it's like a dream, we feel so lucky, and wanted to share a bit of that with you!
